UMich Transfer08

Are the transfer applications to UMich rolling or deadline this year?

I'm pretty sure they still have rolling admissions.

If i want to transfer to LSA Fall 2008 after one year, when do I have to apply? I dono if I have a chance of getting in...

oh and, what is the minimum number of credits they are looking for if you want to transfer after your freshman year? I'm taking 13 this semester.

I think as long as you are a full time student, it should be fine, ideally; if your HS record is a bit bad, then more credits is better. I took 17? 18? my first semester.

Also for the specific dates, you should go to www.umich.edu and look at transfer site to see specific dates.

I called michigan today everybody. The min. gpa to apply is 3.0 Average gpa is 3.6. The admission officer said it is rolling admissions so apply NOW. You are required to submit the application with the 3 essays. Letters of Reccomendation are not needed. The amount of credits you have at the time will determine what they look at but if you are currently in the middle of credits they may or may not ask for the updated grades. basicly APPLY NOW.

wait...what the...but im a freshman, and I just started school like a week ago...what the..

That means they will look at your HS grades only. Maybe college midterm grades, MAYBE.

so if i'm wanting to apply to lsa for econ, do it now? i'm in california, and was hoping for ross, but didn't realize the undergrad business major started sophomore year.

Well, kind of. Your situation is going to be hard for a few reasons

1) Ross apps are in the Fall (I believe)

2) You'd have to get in by Winter term (this term)

3) You'd then have to compete with other U-M students for a spot at Ross BY this summer

And not only that, you have to do Ross's Pre-Reqs before you can apply. It's basically a year full of applications and deadlines that's just complicated.'

This is assuming you want to graduate with your own class.

If you'd consider graduating late as an option, you can always transfer there, do pre-reqs and have roughly a year to do your app and stuff for Ross.

if i wanted to transfer to mich - could i catually do it for this winter? what are the stats for getting in next fall, how many people do they take?

bumpppppppppppppppp
