you have great chances at all the schools, however, send your ACT only. Great ECs and very nice GPA. I would say all of them are high matches.

^^ I agreed. Only send your ACT scores.

I agree that OP’s ACT is slightly better than SAT, however, the difference is rather small.
For UIUC, it really depends on the major. In general, the admission stat is similar to UMich (mid 50 ACT 31-34 and avg GPA 3.9). OP should be a very high match to low reach. Note that the admission rate at UMich CoE is only 20% this year. Being an OOS student, the average chance is probably no better than lower Ivies.
Purdue should be a match.

Thanks guys; @billcsho where did you get the stat that Mich’s CoE acceptance rate is 20%, just curious cause I couldn’t find much with my own Google search?

@HumNation If you follow the UMich forum here, you will find the insider information. It was 30% last year but dropped down to 20% this year. The admission data will be updated on the following website later:
http://profiles.asee.org/profiles/6018/screen/19?school_name=University+of+Michigan</a></p>

The 20% admission rate is according to Alexendre posted on #11 of the following thread:
<a href=“Please chance an out of state student for engineering at University of Michigan- Ann Arbor - University of Michigan - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-michigan-ann-arbor/1669319-please-chance-an-out-of-state-student-for-engineering-at-university-of-michigan-ann-arbor-p1.html</a></p>

@billcsho Oh ok, thanks.

GA Tech application does not require recs.

^ UIUC neither.

I agree with the others who are saying that you should only send your ACT

UIUC - low match / safety
Georgia Tech - match
Purdue - safety
UMich - match

Good luck!

I just want to clarify that UIUC not only does not require LOR, they don’t want any.

GA Tech allows one optional recommendation. Ga Tech is highly competitive and getting more competitive to obtain an acceptance each year. Also, being male is probably not in your favor as they are trying to get more female students.
