UMich vs GATech

Hello, so I’ve been admitted to the 2 schools above, and I plan on majoring in electrical/computer engineering. From what I can tell, they are practically identical academically for this field. With aid, the two schools will both cost me about the same, with UMich slightly less.

I think with UMich, it is a more well rounded school and so offers studies besides engineering if i end up wanting to switch. I also thinking (though not really sure) of pursuing an MBA later on to maybe go into the business side of the tech industry, and UMich would perhaps better help here.

On the other hand, I really like the weather (I’m not really a fan of cold) and urban atmosphere of GAtech.

I am definitely sure however, mba or not, that I well go to graduate school- which of these schools has less grade deflation/better grad school placement?

thanks!

I think your reasons for picking Michigan seem sound. Also, Ann Arbor is a great college town. Engineering is going to have equally tough grading at both schools. Both should be fine for grad school placement as well.
