Can anyone list the pros and cons between these two schools? I am going in to aerospace engineering...which is better and which do i get a better starting salary or is better for grad schools?
THanks

Salary wise, UMich will give u the best starting salary by far. Both school are good and have good placement but U Mich is better in every aspect.
Id pick UMich (its the top 3 public schools in the US)

Saying that "U Mich is better in every respect" is ridiculous and patently false. You are talking about two top-5 aero engineering programs, so there aren't going to be any appreciable differences in salary figures or grad school placement. Don't base your choice on that, but rather how well you will fit into the school's atsmosphere.

Someone on these forums previously said GTech pays little or no attention to undergrads (they were talking about how people go by rankings without paying attention...)

I believe you are making assumptions based on the name, and not actual rankings.

Most engineering salaries are pretty even across schools--especially once you get beyond computer related areas. UM's average for aero eng is $55,277. I doubt GT is much different.

the only thing different is that umich is a lot more expensive...
