Hi. I’m a senior in high school trying to determine what college to attend. I want to study aerospace engineering and am curious how certain programs
compare. If anyone can speak on Umich, Purdue, UT Austin, or UF that would be amazing. I have no clue where I want to go so I am curious how they stack up. Price is a non factor.
All good choices! Congrats.
If you have any Purdue, aka the cradle of astronauts, specific questions I’m happy to try to answer them.
Based on program strength, I recommend you keep Purdue in full consideration.
Great options congratulations! Michigan has an incredible aerospace program, it’s set in one of the best college towns in America, has incredible sports and campus community, and a lot of ambitious kids, including the Ross business students to network with which is an amazing asset. UT is set in Austin which is just an incredible city and has great weather. I’m sorry I don’t know their academic programs as well. Purdue has solid academic programs, but it’s setting is weak. There is not much to do at Purdue beyond greek life. We have a friend who just transferred out as a result. Best of luck to you!
That has been very far from my D’s experience (she’s a senior at Purdue). Sports, theater, clubs, arts, music, and a hopping college town. W. Lafayette isn’t Ann Arbor but town has grown by leaps and bounds and there are all kinds of new bars, restaurants, and boutiques.
