UMich vs. UCSD, Biomedical Engineering/ BioEngineering

I am an international student, and I have been accepted to both UMich and UCSD for Biomedical Engineering/ BioEngineering.
The costs are approximately the same, so that isn’t a factor in decision making.
I am interested in research, especially to do with biomolecular engineering, tissue engineering, genetic engineering, cellular and molecular engineering, etc.

UMich:

Pros:
Stronger overall school (#28)
Stronger Engineering school
Greater selectivity, prestige
Biochemical concentration, that matches a lot of my interests
School spirit (the best I’ve ever seen)

Cons:
Weather!!
Ranked lower in BME (#9)

UCSD:

Pros:
Better ranked BME (#6)
Weather!!!
Location
Biosystems concentration, which matches my interests

Cons:
Weaker overall school (#42)
Weaker engineering school
Lesser selectivity, prestige

Could I please have some opinions on which would be a better option?
I’m currently leaning towards UMich, but would like other opinions. Thanks!

Also, I plan to go on to grad school and specialise in specific areas of my interest.

There is no difference between #6 and #9. You are looking at hundreds of departments. If you do not mind cold winters, Michigan is a better option. It is a more well-rounded university with a far more flexible curriculum. Switching majors at Michigan is much easier than it is at UCSD.

Thank you so much @Alexandre ! That’s why I’m leaning towards Michigan too.
Any other opinions?
