UMICH vs. UND. vs. NYU

What would you prefer out of these 3 colleges? I would like to apply EA to UND and UMICH and NYU RD.

By UND I assume you mean notre dame. You cannot apply early action to michigan; it is rolling. NYU and Michigan were my final choices, and I chose michigan because of better research opportunities/one of the best medical schools in the world, awesome campus, AMAZING athletics, complete college experience, etc etc. NYU is also $45,000/year (probably more now). While Michigan is close to $40, I don't think nyu is worth that much. Notre Dame and Michigan are very different schools. Michigan has a more ethnically, socio-economically, and obviously religiously diverse student body, more resources, and better grad schools. Both schools have excellent athletics and tradition. Out of those three schools, Michigan is the best.

were you satisfied withy our financial aid package.. I mean it is a public university.. I am out of state. I poseted my stats below in this forum..
What do you think?

I didn't qualify for need based assistance, and getting any kind of money for merit directly from Michigan is very hard-I had 1440 SAT, 3.9 UW from probably the best high school in Indiana, etc etc, and I didn't get anything. Notre Dame definitely I know is excellent with financial aid, but Michigan is public, so their financial aid packages generally aren't as strong. I have heard that NYU sucks with financial aid, but I think you need to visit all three schools. I liked NYU when I visited, but after I visited Ann Arbor, I realized I had just encountered the greatest University in the world. At NYU you will also be spending A LOT of money (it is in downtown manhattan), and even though Ann arbor is expensive, it's easy to get by on a budget. What are you planning on studying?

I think it depends on what you are studying, if it is art, drama, or theater, NYU is your best choice. Liberal arts - including business and pre-law - NYU, Notre Dame or Michigan are good - but NYU may win out due to location. Engineering or Med School or the Sciences - Michigan is your best choice.

Did you ever consider Virginia? UVa has a great reputation in the liberal arts and sciences and if money is an issue - check out the new program called AccessUVa - where even out of state students have little or no debt (I think the max will be something like 20K but you may want to look at the website to confirm). Furthermore, UVa costs something like only 22 - 24K in tuition for out of state students. Hope this helps.
