UMich Vs. USC Vs. UVA

How would you say UMich compares to USC and UVa?? I think they are both about equally selective?? Moreso thinking about the undergrad busines schools?

I guess USC has the best location, girls and parties?? But for academics, campus and job prospects?

Also in terms of selectivity?? I would be out of state for all of them?

If you want to live in Southern Cali after graduation, go to USC.

If you want to live in the midwest/northeast, go to Michigan.

If you want to live on the east coast/south, go to UVA.

Overall, Michigan = UVA > USC.

USC is overrated.

Probably would want to live in NYC, Boston or DC but not really sure yet? But that Cali weather is preaty hard to beat.

How do they compare in terms op selectivy? For out of State?

USC is private, so your "out of state" status matters not.

USC is a private school so not being from California, especially if you're from the midwest or south is a big plus. There are a large number of USC grads in the DC area and a very active alumni association. As with any school, jobs depend on what you major it. USC is very strong in the arts, communications, business, and engineering.

USC is not party school although parties are to be had. USC is not overrated. It's rated about right and will be climbing.

<a href="http://www.usc.edu/dept/International_Offices/Taipei/admission_ranking.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.usc.edu/dept/International_Offices/Taipei/admission_ranking.htm</a></p>

Actually Im from Arizona? I dont know if that would help or hurt?? at any of those schools?

In terms of selectivity?? Im thinking UVA, then USC, then UMich?? does that sound right?

Yeah that's prolly right.

That selectivity might work for getting into the schools as a whole, but if you're strictly talking about business program, Michigan's is by far the hardest to get into. Of course, you can always just apply to LSA and transfer into business, but Ross is tough to get into no matter where you're applying from. For overall prestige, i agree that umich=uva>usc, but when it comes to business, it's something like umich>>>uva>usc. If you're going for weather and girls, I think USC is the clear choice, but for academic prestige in business, umich is the clear choice. Regarding DC kids from a previous post, you will find many at each of these campuses since kids in DC get $10k off from any public in the country I believe. Therefore, they tend to flock to the best ones, aka umich and uva, and of course still go to private schools like usc.

1.) UVA
2.) USC
3.) Michigan

I don't think you can apply to Ross as an incoming freshman can you?

You can now.

UVA will give you the best undergraduate education

If your looking for great academics in multiple areas, I would say USC. Their motto is "breadth and depth." However, you should also know that USC is Californian in pretty much all shapes and forms. There is diversity on campus, but you should probably visit before you decide. I'm a big fan of SC and they have amazing, amazing networking connections after college and will get you a job no problem. But personally, I like UVa a lot better. Its much harder to get into out of state but that school just attracts me for some reason. As for Michigan, I have some friends that went there and absolutely loved it. All are really big sports schools and have great academics. You can't go wrong. One factor may be environment. USC is very urban and not in a very nice area of town. UVa is pretty much the opposite.

If you want numbers:

3 michigan

9 USC

9 UVA

Of course nothing should be based on numbers. Any top 10 school is worthy of going to.

Michigan is cold colld cold.... even in the summer its cold... which is bad already.

USC- You gotta love the weather. Private school though...

UVA- No clue about that school

AA is not cold in summer. Average high in July/August is over 80.

<a href="http://www.weather.com/activities/homeandgarden/garden/weather/climo-monthly-graph.html?locid=USMI0028&from=36hr_bottomnav_garden%5B/url%5D">http://www.weather.com/activities/homeandgarden/garden/weather/climo-monthly-graph.html?locid=USMI0028&from=36hr_bottomnav_garden</a></p>

Average High Lasts less then 1 hour. WE should talk about average temperature.

The main complaint during orientation last summer was that there was no air conditioning in the dorm ... yeah, it's real cold in AA in the summer.

Just curious, how many summer did you spend in AA?

One week- during June.

Perhaps you should realize that YOU ARE NOT IN SCHOOL DURING THE SUMMER?!?!?!!?

Now lets check the mean temperature of when you are in school:

24° 26° 36° 48° 60° 64° 54° 41° 28°

We add them all up, divide by 9 = a whopping 35 degrees.

Very warm isnt it.

Mean Temperature of July: 71
June: 68
August: 71

That is not too "hot". Certainly not AC complaining weather. Come to Texas.

Perhaps you should read your post again. We were responding to your statement above.

A week in June is not a good indication of what summer is like in AA, as you might hit a cold spell. June weather is usually gorgeous in AA.

Oh ok sorry, I thought you were saying weather in AA overall is comfortable... which isnt.
