Umich vs UVA GPA

I was accepted into both schools OOS. I am planning on majoring in biology on the pre-med track. Looking into the future and applying to medical schools, a high GPA is obviously required. Which school is easier in terms of receiving a 3.5+ or 3.75+ GPA?

Maybe uva is easier since umich is stronger in stem and known for its notoriously difficult premed courses. they are both going to be tough schools to get a high gpa in. honestly, I don’t see the point of going out of state to a harder school for premed. if you are 100% sure you want to apply to medical school, you might as well save the money (umich and uva have the most expensive out-of-state tuitions out of all the public universities in the country) and get a high gpa at your state school.

I am also currently considering the two. I feel like either way, it’s gonna hard to get that high GPA from both schools. Although the sciences are higher ranked/possibly more popular at Michigan, it seems as though both offer fantastic research opportunities for undergrads. Both will probably have the large intro “weeding out” classes. Are you leaning towards one?

Seaotter17 I am actually leaning towards Michigan as of right now. I like Virginia’s campus and how it has fewer students, but those are the only two draws for UVa for me. Michigan’s alumni network I feel is more substantial in the area that I live and the campus and dorms were well above my standards.
