For some reason everyone is different. Some have gotten emails and then the portal changes others have seen the portal change and emails a few hours later. Either way one way or another you’ll get the good news! :-c
Are all of these decisions from Deferred EA applicants, or have some RD people started to hear back too?
@lushella I’m in state RD and heard back last week
Are people still hearing back or was there just one batch of people who found out early (like last week)?
OK, the link is back but no decision. She also got an invitation for an Alumni interview yesterday about the time the link came back up. Seems a bit late to be conducting an interview but she is going to do so. Not sure whether these events are related but it is a bit nerve racking. She has gotten accepted to three other pretty good programs already so it takes some of the pressure off.

[B]General Comments (if any):*
I got differed EA and then got accepted a couple days ago!! don’t give up hope <3 go blue!!
Michigan deferred/rejected every EA applicant at my school. I was so excited because I got into Notre Dame, so I figure Michigan was a given, but alas I got deferred. Another girl in my school got into Northwestern, but deferred from Michigan too. They don’t seem to like my school too much.
I tried to log into my wolverine access account to check my status today but I’m getting a message saying my Login ID (friend account) has been locked. Has anyone else experienced this recently?
@jlisant21 The server is down for maintenance until 4pm today.
@juleslovelife congrats! did you receive an email saying that there was an application update or did you just randomly check to see your application status changed from deferred to accepted?

I randomly checked and then I got an email 2 days later!
Anyone get in with around a 3.65 GPA? I applied to engineering and I’m freaking out. My Test scores (34 ACT), EC’s, and LOR’s are all pretty good but the fact that my GPA is low (albeit, steep upwards trend) is giving me really bad anxiety.
Anyone else still getting a HAIL interview invitation? My daughter got an email from the interviewer last night and he is 5.5 hours away. I am not sure why it would come up this late. If it is important and will still have an effect on her chances then I will make the trip. Any advice would be much appreciated.
@NotNunya The interviewer should offer to do a virtual interview (by Skype more than likely) if you are too far away. Mine asked me if I am able to come over to the city, or if I needed to do mine virtually, and you can probably contact the interviewer to ask if that is a possibility for your daughter.
@luigimario77 Thanks. She spoke to him today and he did indeed offer to do the interview via skype or facetime. She prefers face to face meetings so she emailed him to see if he is willing to do the interview on a weekend. Easy for her to say because, although she is 16, she doesn’t have a drivers license. He is in the Boulder area so I suppose we could call it a weekend getaway.

Job/Work Experience: Received a bit of work training at a biomedical engineering lab
Volunteer/Community service: 2 hr/week at hospital for about 2 years

Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): none
Reflections:
Strengths: Scores, GPA, extracurriculars
Weaknesses:Graduated high school in 3 years, didn’t take many English/social studies classes, no hooks
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Deferred because of graduating early with few English classes (I called the office to ask), accepted after keeping contact with territory counselor + school counselor sending letter explaining my academic circumstances.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted UIUC, deferred MIT/Caltech, applied RD to Cornell and Princeton
General Comments (if any):
Michigan seems to place a huge emphasis on well-roundedness, so I’d advise prospective applicants to take every subject for all 4 years. Otherwise I’m really happy to be accepted, because it’s one of my top schools!
Just checked Wolverine Access, got into Ross pre-admit. Applied regular decision mid-December. 31 ACT 4.0 unweighted
In addition to being admitted after being deferred on Feb 9, I just checked Wolverine Access and I got into Ross pre-admit!!!
