My son got deferred from UM. Does anyone know when the final decision will be out? Thanks.
@Eeeee127 I received an email from them, with an invitation to attend the Salute to Excellence dinner, along with a way to RSVP
@oscarmom1 I’ve heard they start being released in batches sometime toward the end of February, but I don’t know for sure.
@kourtorder , thanks! How much chance will be for deferred?
@oscarmom1 I’m not sure, it’s hard to know. But umich is one of those schools where a ton of people get deferred EA and accepted later on.
@kourtorder thanks a lot! Just too anxious… Waiting is so difficult
@oscarmom1 best of luck to your son!
@sunny_01 thanks! I pray for him every day.
@oscarmom1 Last year the deferred students started hearing back from Feb 5th onwards and there were waves of decisions until March. This year it could start from Feb 3rd.
@just_nag thanks for the info!
For those of you who received your FA packages from UMich, whats the difference between the “offered” and “accepted” column? I mean why does it initially show up like that because I didn’t accept or decline anything, this is the first I’m seeing about financial aid and for some reason my “accepted” hasn’t accepted any loans, next to all the offered loans its says $0.00. Anyone know anything about this?
Well they assume you are accepting it unless u decline
Anyone know if UMich wants midyear reports/transcripts from applicants accepted via EA?
I don’t think so that’s only for deferred students
Someone just got accepted today. UM twitter liked it
Is there a RD thread?
How much are you accepted OOS students getting in terms of financial aid??? I’m considering applying RD. My income is around 70 k a year with little assests, but my parents may not be able to cover their EFC of 7 k.
My GPA is a 4.3 and 30 ACT. Good extra curriculars, essays, and RECS. Could anyone give me insight on my chances as well as possible aid I may receive as an OOS student???
Thank you!!!
Umich gives financial aid for oos up to 90k income but doesn’t always cover all need. For out of state. You act is a bit on the low side. What is your umich recalculated unweighted gpa? All a’s are 4.0 all B’s are 3.0 average umich gpa is 3.87 so if you are above that you have a chance. Also what state are you from? Some states like new York California new Jersey and illinois are more competitive than other states like wyoming
Did you guys see the tweet yesterday about financial aid going out?
Financial aid award notices are landing in mailboxes near and far. Have you received yours yet, #Victors2021? #umich https://admissions.umich.edu/explore-visit/blog/check-mail-financial-aid-awards-begin-students-entering-u-m-fall …
i was deferred and they requested my grades. My wolverine access says transcript and school report were recieved on jan 20. Does that mean they got the grades or no?
