@Saadlama it only means that UM got everything before the deadline. My parents thought the same thing when I told them haha
Just wanted to talk about my own experience to affirm anyone’s nervousness (class of 2020):
Received email that my app was in: 11/4
Received that my EA request was approved: 11/18
Admitted Early Action
So if some of you didn’t get the email yet, it’s still normal. However, just because you’re EA qualified doesn’t mean you get in EA. Just wanted to clear that up.
Thanks for the help guys!
About residency errors: CALL first. There are some mistakes that they may be able to fix without the applicant going through all the paperwork.
@MedSciBud Most certainly agree.
@guitar321 Much appreciation for clarifying!
I don’t want to wait until Chistmad Eve to find out 0.o
Also, is it true that UMich had a history of deferring all the applicantions it doesn’t finish? I assume they make an effort to assess all of them equally.
@DryMango I’m sure they review all applications in the timeframe. The deferrals are probably from them wanting to see the rest of the applicant pool
The NPC of UMich is consistently giving me in-state estimates, even though I clearly state my actual state of residency.
Is this a known issue?
@DryMango I feel ya, after you submit your application(s), it then becomes “The Wait Game”!
Today, my status changed from EA-requested to EA-qualified, but I did not get an email about it.
Wait how do you check EA status and how are you accepted if its not even 11/18 yet
@sonali11 he wasn’t accepted, it just means that he has been approved for Early Action decision. You can check by logging into your Wolverine Access portal, then Application Status, then View Application Data, then scroll down to Other Information where it says your EA status. If it’s still “requested”, it probably just means they haven’t gotten to yours yet.
@APlennox I am a girl.
I got my EA qualified email today. I applied for LSA
@jasonfan1234 Me too. I also applied LSA, and I got my email 20 minutes ago.
Yeah, I just got mine for LSA too. (side note: also applying to Ross, but as expected, nothing on that yet)
To clarify:
EA -requested: You applied to the school under the EA option
EA-Qualified: all your documents are in order and you are officially seen as an EA applicant
EA- admitted: congrats, you’re in
@Vlau0707 Give it time, I received my confirmation email about 1 week after my status was changed to EA-Qualified.
