UMinn Scholarships

I was wondering what the typical stats are for people who are awarded either the Gold National Scholarship or the Maroon National Scholarship.

These are the only qualifications I see on the site:
* resident of any state, excluding North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin
* top 25% of graduating class
* academic achievement; high academic potential; evidence of outstanding leadership, creativity, unique work or service experience; special talents; community involvement; educational disadvantage; contribution to diversity

Just curious if I'd be competitive for either with a 3.55 UW/3.65 W/30 ACT.

I got the minnesota gold and a few others... but i dont know if that is the same as the gold national in terms of stats.

I have a 3.92 UW (my school is lame and doesn't weight at all) and a 34 ACT

Was your notification of scholarship with your acceptance letter?

no, it came a while afterwards... maybe a month, 2 months... i dunno, just sometime later

Wow. I thought they weren't notifying scholarships until March. They must have just really liked you :-p

I just received the Gold Scholarship with a 3.5 UW, although i dont really need it since i have a full scholarship from the NROTC

I got the letter a month after acceptance.

I have almost identical stats (3.66 WGPA, 29 ACT) and i got the Gold.

I received my letter around 2 weeks ago which is about 1 week after i received my acceptance letter.

How much is the gold worth?

nice
im csom honors..dakota resident, 4.0, 30 act, and i only got a grand last year. i was kind of disappointed

That top 25% part really sucks. I have 34 act, 3.67 uw gpa (rising) but I'm like 30th percentile. Ridiculous.

How many people per year get those scholarships?
