UMKC 6 year Accelerated Med Program

<p>Hey guys Im a sophomore at MSJHS. I am really interested in the UMKC program at Northwestern University. But I dont know if my GPA can get me in. Please tell me how I can improve my chances into getting into this program. Here are my stats so far:</p>

<p>3.67 GPA (unweighted)(I've taken all honors classes)- (I know this is low but my school is ranked 36 in the nation will that help me at any point in my college application?)</p>

<p>SAT I : 2360 </p>

<p>SAT II CHEM- 800; SAT II BIO- 800; SAT II MATH 2- 800; SAT II Critical Reading: 800</p>

<p>Sports: I am on the varsity basketball and track team for two years and I will continue to play for the next two years.</p>

<p>Doctor Shadowing at Kaiser and Washington Mutual Hospital</p>

<p>Im planning on doing an internship at a University during my Summer of Junior Year.</p>

<p>I volunteered for 3 weeks in a Hospital near Chicago</p>

<p>I think I can get very good letter of recs from my English Teacher and Science teacher</p>

<p>Clubs: Med Corps; Red Cross; Cure for Cancer</p>

<p>AP TESTS: AP English (5) AP Psych (5) </p>

<p>what is UMKC GPA expected to get into med school? I have 3.58 GPA in total for both 9th and 10th grade.</p>
