So I have 4 C's on my transcript. I thought I might still be okay for some moderately prestigious schools (like USC, BC, or NYU), but am I mistaken? Those C's were in AP classes and I got 4's or 5's on the AP tests. Most of my other grades are A's with a few B's sprinkled in. I got a 2210 on the SAT.

NYU, maybe. USC and BC...probably not.

But then again, if you have a bunch of ECs and other stuff on your app then you always have a chance.

don't worry my man, have back and great Essays

Admissions officers would rather see you take an AP class and challenge yourself than have an easy A. But 4 C's could be a problem for some. Be sure you apply to a variety of schools because lots of kids with all A's get turned down at lots of top schools. Where are you thinking of applying? Be sure to talk with an admissions rep, most are happy to talk with prospective students about everything that goes into an admissions decision. Good luck!
