Umm Please! Will this ruin my chances!

A few months ago i took the PSAT. I was kind of "whatever" about it but i still tried. My scores were CR: 45, M: 56, and W: 46. I guess my scores have an excuse: i ran out of time in all the sections (i'm very careful, i work slowly), and i misunderstood the way the PSAT is graded. So the last 10 or 15 questions that i didnt have time to look at, i just filled in any random letter. You see, i thought that incorrectly answering a question gave .75 of a point, i didnt know that any points were deducted. I know, it seems stupid now!! But that's what i thought.

So will these awful scores ruin my chances in getting into a good college, maybe Ivies?
I know i'll "ace" the real SAT. My practice tests always end up being 700 and up.

PSAT does not show up on college board score reports. If your school transcript doesn’t have this score on it, they won’t ever see it.

Even if you do see this score, and you do as well as you think you can do on the SAT, you will be fine.

dude… it’s just the PSAT… the P stands for something you know :), and if you ran out of time on the PSAT, how do you know you won’t run out of time on the real SAT?

I didn’t do any preparation for the PSAT; I didn’t even know i had to do it until i got to school that day. lol
And besides, when i take the practice tests i set a timer to the corresponding time, i always have like 5 minutes left-over.

Thanks

it doesn’t even matter…PSAT is for money and bragging rights, pretty much. (this coming from a finalist)

Colleges don’t even see your PSAT unless your school puts in on the transcript or you self report it.

“I didn’t do any preparation for the PSAT”

Isn’t preparation the reason the PSAT exists? I feel like some kids have it so backwards…
