ummm...so im the kinda person who goes out in a coat/sweater in 70s....high 60s i wear gloves and beanie and stuff (heavy duty jacket)....wat am i supposed to do for...omg 50s? 40s? 30s?!?!

god...just letting u all know cuz i havent really done much winter clothing shopping...if u thot sept and october were "warm" too...u better start replanning and not delaying that shopping til fall break like i was!

Nah, September is pretty warm throughout, especially when you get there. It's only until the end of September that it starts getting down into the 60's during the day.

According to the Weather Channel website, September should stay in the 70-early 80s, then quickly drop down to the 60s by the end of September. But DAMN it gets cold at nite over there!

omg thats freezing!
towards the end of the month the average lows are in the 40's?!!!
It only gets that cold in Miami for 2 days out of the year in like January!

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaha... oh man.... 29 F is cold? lol ... sorry, man. ok ill stop

awwww :(. Poor fahrenheit, you rejected him. I bet Celsius is hotter though! (get it? hotter, like attractive? temperature?) hahahahaha ... ... ... i'm going to go cry in the corner now

Our school actually cancelled school one day when the weather was deemed "too cold" (apparently too cold in DE is 0F.) We have also cancelled school for < 1inch of snow. Delaware: we fear mother nature.

hmm, i wonder why Florida schools never cancelled class on days when the temperature was too hot? or to humid?

In any case, I'll be one of those Florida and California kids who are out running around campus on the day that Princeton sees its first snowfall! Look for me; we can run around together!

I feel sorry for you west coasters - these Jersey winters can get rough if you're not used to them.
Get a good coat: thenorthface.com
And buy yourself some boots for the snow.

You really have to protect yourself in the cold. I remember waiting for a school bus one day with my little brother - and his tongue just started bleeding. Seriously, we don't get snow days off in college so hats, scarves, and gloves, people.

i got mild frostbite on my ankles :( it didn't really heal completely. was wearing cotton socks and sneakers outside after a heavy snowfall.. yeah.. im stupid.

I've come to the conclusion that you can't buy a warm enough coat in a department store in the South (and probably Southwest); they just don't stock them. Get one made for hiking, with Thinsulate or whatever.

What gets to me isn't so much the Cold but the Grey. Winter is pretty, but dark. Spring is sooooooo nice when it arrives.
