<p>I have heard that National Honor Roll, Who's Who, etc. are scams and worthless, but will it actually hurt you if you put that on a scholarship or college app? Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you!</p>
<p>I do not think they will hurt you if you put it down on your app, but they are scams. It doesn't make you look bad, just gullible.</p>
<p>I agree w/ raindrop that it wouldnt hurt you...but why waste the 50bucks or whatever to get in...you know its definetly not gonna help you...so why waste the money...might as well go get yourself a nice cup of coffee...its so much more useful...</p>
<p>Oh! and another question. For the additional information in the college apps, would it hurt to include an extra essay? I did for a few school, and I'm starting to regret having done so (it was like 260ish words).</p>
<p>I don't think the extra essay would hurt either...if you wrote it well it might help a bit...but I believe most likely the adcoms will ignore it...they have thousands of apps to go through...and they probably wont have time to look at it...</p>
