UN-Enrollment question

Hey guys!

So close to two months ago I put in my enrollment deposit at the school I was originally planning on attending, which was a pretty mediocre school to be honest.

Fast forward to about a week ago, I get accepted to a highly respected and ‘prestigious’ school, I didn’t think I would get into.

So I ended up emailing the admissions department at the school I deposited to, to tell them I’d be unenrolling, because I’ll be getting better financial aid at the better school anyways, and they did respond but haven’t cancelled any of my stuff, and it seems although they’re pulling a last ditch effort to get me to stay.

Should I email them again to tell them that I am serious about this? Or literally any other advice? Quite obviously this is unchartered territory for me haha

Thanks

You are not obligated to attend unless you were accepted ED, which is binding. You will lose your enrolment deposit. Was it really financial aid or is that just the excuse you gave the “mediocre” school?

Mainly financial aid, but reputation definitely didn’t hurt me decision.

I had a bunch of scholarships pulled from beneath my feet so I would end up paying slightly more to go there than I would the other school.

Waht the first acceptance ED?

EA

Then the only penalty for you is loss of your deposit.
