<p>The UN is notoriously tough to get internships at if you don't have a connection. As far as I'm aware the General Assembly only takes Grad students. I think a consulate is much more doable. Find a list of consulates in NYC and start sending out resumes.</p>
<p>I am a junior in a high school very close to NYC and would love to internship at teh Un or a consolate. How did they go about getting internships?</p>
