unable to edit post

I’m within the time limit. The little gear icon is there. When I click it, no drop down appears offering to let me edit.

Since yesterday.

I just posted and successfully edited. Edge desktop.

Trying once again (Chrome latest on Windows desktop)

Nope. Click the little settings wheel, nothing happens.

@CCadmin_Sorin

PS: It also doesn’t work on mobile (also Chrome, Android phone).

Since others have no problem, it’s likely the browser/platform.

What I also notice, since yesterday, is that I get a notification alert but when I click the little bell, no drop-down. This is rather similar to the week or so earlier in the year when I could tag people but no drop-down appeared with suggestions.

@vonlost maybe, but nothing has changed on my end. I’ve already tested mobile and Firefox desktop and neither of those work as they did two days ago either.

Beyond testing that it’s not worth the time, I am just reporting the bug.

PS: If it is useful to the tech people @CCadmin_Sorin here are some errors my browser is reporting in the error console:

Can someone else seeing the problem post your environment? Thanks.

I am also experiencing these issues on Chrome (not on Firefox). Is this happening to someone else?

Interesting. I have it in Firefox also. I can click the settings gears on a post, the notification , messages etc icons up top, and nothing happens. No drop down of message or notification previews, as was the case until yesterday.

Now that I think on it, all of those are dynamically populated drop-down boxes. So is tagging a user but that is working fine today. Perhaps because it’s called within the reply box so uses a different function.

Just for fun I pulled out IE (v 11, latest one) and that has the same problem as the others.

I think a script isn’t loading for some users. Others may have it cached or something.

Staid, boring comment.

Ok, it’s looks like I was able to replace my edgy, interesting comment with a staid, boring comment. Using Safari.

Guys, I filled a ticket with tech and I’ll provide an update as soon as this is fixed. Thanks!

Guys, it should be fixed now. Please let me know if you still encounter any issues. Thanks!

Yup it’s back for me. Thanks.
