I just received a letter from Tufts informing me that they would be unable to offer me an interview due to the fact that there are not enough interviewers in my area (Princeton, NJ) and that it would be noted on my application and not hurt my chances for admission, it also said to contact them with any questions. Has anyone else received the same letter, also, did you do anything?

Lots of people get that letter. It's sad, but Tufts just doesn't have enough alumni interviewers. They really do mean it though, when they say that not getting an interview will not hurt your chances.

If you're really intent, go ahead and contact the local interview committee chair if you have his or her information, or contact your regional admissions rep. Sometimes begging works.

But if not, don't worry about it. Alumni interviews can be fun, but they truly don't add much to an application file.

when i applied i also couldn't get an interview, so i called and they told me that if they can't give you an interview it won't hurt you in any way and that there's nothing they can really do about it.

i wouldn't worry.

My S is a current Jumbo who was unable to get an interview. It did not hurt him in the least.

if it's tufts's fault that you're unable to get an interview, they won't penalize you for it. Tufts is nicer than that. Relax ;-)

don't you worry :)

I was never contacted for an interview and I didn't even get that letter, but everything turned out fine.
