Naviance is not letting us delete colleges from the " thinking about" or " applying to " lists. are they locked at this point of applications cycle? Is that typical?
I had the same problem when I logged in as a parent. Once I was able to use my son’s login, I was able to add/remove. I think the settings are different for students.
Otherwise, you will need to have the counselor make the changes.
Yes, log in as the student instead of the parent. Only the student can delete schools.
Still learning about Naviance – what is the significance of not being able to delete or move from either list? Do the high schools automatically send info to these colleges?
My D has plenty of schools she never followed on. As did my older D several years ago. It never occurred to me that these had to be kept up to date and there was no downside to not doing so.
If you want to keep them accurate for tracking, yes, the student account has to do it.
I would find it hard to beleive that a school would “automatically” send anything. I know ours doesn’t. The student needs to request transcripts and LORs for each school. Check with your school, I suppose.
Correct, the school is not going to send anything in the “Thinking about area” and 99% of the time will not send anything until the student has submitted their application and logged that in Naviance.
There is no need to clear the “thinking about” area. It helps to show how far their process has evolved.
