UNC 2017 Transfer Student Thread

^

how did you guys login into sakai?

I thought to be full time it’s 15 credits? or is it 12? I plan to take 3 campus classes and two online classes.

@KendraScholar 12 is full time.

Does everyone have financial aid posted? I received a CCI grant, but still have not received my aid package.

I haven’t gotten financial aid yet @MuffinCups

yeah me either @MuffinCups

Does anyone else have Financial Aid Items under your To Do List? It says “Aid App but Not Yet Admitted”. I received an acceptance letter last week, but have not yet paid the deposit. Also can you not create an Onyen until you pay the deposit and what is the Guest ID? Also do you guys have Admissions Items To List as Final Transcript and Community Standards Form? So many questions lol

@MuffinCups I received my aid Monday but no laptop grant yet. Where did you see the laptop grant at? Did you get an email or what? I should qualify.

I can’t help with FA considering i did not even fill FASFA out, sorry. But, has anyone not received a transfer credit report? I can’t image that I will be able to enroll for psychology courses (my major) without credit granted for PSYC 101? Is any one in the same boat, or should i be sweating?

You do not have to pay the deposit in order to view your financial aid correct?

@johnpfc3 You don’t have to.

.

Am I the only one finding it hard to put together a decent schedule? I feel like I’ll be all over the place. I currently have a 3 hour gap in between classes. Not even sure If I can take the class I need for my minor since I’m not declared yet. I’m crossing my fingers that more open classes randomly appear. lol

FYI, I just got off the phone with admissions; if you have not received a credit evaluation, you are SOL when trying to register for classes with prereqs you have already completed. She said contact the department and see if they will admit you directly. (hopefully i get it in the next 40 minutes)

are we supposed to be making our schedules before we put a deposit?

I don’t think it would let you enroll, it may allow you to put classes in your “shopping cart” that you are interested in. The convenient thing about your shopping cart is that it tells you the status (full, open or waitlisted) of the classes you are interested in.

@sciencegeek1626 You can not register for classes until you enroll. Part of enrolling is paying or deferring the deposit.

when I click on shopping cart it says I don’t have “access to enrollment at this time” I might just have to wait until I actually submit a deposit, I just hope all my classes don’t get full

I got all my classes except EDUC 301. It says I don’t meet the requirements. But I’m a junior transfer…
