@martintrevor Brevard College. It’s D2. applying to unc because it’s my dream school and I’d love to go
Question for anyone who’s done this before, does the activities section on the commonapp have to be filled out? I haven’t done many activities and I already listed the two major ones in another section. The activities section seems like a resume which I don’t have and I don’t want to be repetitive if I don’t have to. But I also don’t want to make a mistake by leaving it blank. Thanks for any replies.
@KendraScholar I included what I did I put in the short activities section but I put them in paragraphs and added anything that I couldn’t fit in the original one. If you feel like you have everything, I wouldn’t worry too much
Chance me? FSU Soph/Potential Junior Transfer, Minority. Aiming for Kenan Flagler B School.

Does anyone know the deadline for submitting letters of recommendation or sending trasncripts? Thanks!!
They ask that all supplements be in by 2-3 weeks after the deadline. So I would shoot for the first week of March at the latest.
When are we supposed to receive a login for connect once we submit the app? And if you applied during high school, would you use the same login or will they give a new one?
You will get a new login in about two to three days after you submit your app. I assume you will get a new login
with a new application number.
Now that the application deadline has officially passed, the wait begins. We should place bets on the date when the first person starts ranting about how UNC admissions is unprofessional, unacceptable and inconsiderate. Last year this started around the 2nd week in April. The board lights up with people complaining because they feel UNC is taking to long to release the acceptance letters.
Ugh, the waiting game is too hard…two months of uncertainty might just be too much for me to handle.
Good luck to everyone who applied!
T-minus 8 weeks
I wouldn’t even worry about it. It’s a coin toss from here on out. But this thread lights up in April.
I’m not sure I can keep myself from going crazy until then
This might seem like a stupid question but one of my LOR is from a Duke alum, that wouldn’t hurt me in any way would it?
Nope. From an academic standpoint, Duke and Carolina are very close. They even offer a program where students graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Duke and a minor from UNC. They also collaborate on research and participate in an inter-library loan program.
@isuncforme493 okay, thanks. On one hand I figured it could hurt but on the other hand I figured it would look good that a Duke alum wrote my LOR. I’m pretty sure I’m just overthinking it lol
Does anyone have a to do list admission in your account that You are missing your transcript? I submitted my last school transcript 2 weeks ago but it’s still saying that I’m missing it. I called in to ask and they said I have to wait for the process of transcript category. I have no idea when the deadline passed and nothing changes with my status
It took 3 weeks for my transcript to be processed. Don’t worry about it now. Check again in March. They allow a few weeks for those supplements to be submitted, and they’ll definitely accept it later if it was lost along the way. And sorry guys I have no idea how to reply directly to people from my phone.
does anyone know what to do if Connect Carolina does not let you use the email address you used before? I used the same email as i did last year when i applied and it says it is already in use. thanks
I don’t think you can use an email address that has been used before in a previous admission year (if that is what you mean). Once an email address is assigned to an account, it is my understanding that it is always tied to that specific account/application. I think you will have to provide a new, unique email address with this application cycle, but I would check with admissions. I know my son ran into a similar issue and had to set up a new email account per the request of the admission office.
