UNC 2018 Transfer Student Thread

When will we receive ConnectCarolina information after we apply?

A day or two after you submitted the application, you’ll get a “Thank you for submitting your application!” email with directions of how to create a UNC guest ID. You’ll use your guest ID to log into Connect Carolina. @UNCISMYDREAM

@HSstudentNC Thanks for the information!

Did you guys apply the CSS to UNC yet? It costs 25 dollars for the application.

This is kind of dumb but can someone explain how to send test scores? I can’t remember how I did it in high school. Do we do it through the CommonApp orrrrr? Pls help a confused girl out

Besides the common app & test scores, transcripts, recs, etc. we don’t have to submit anything else right? CSS isn’t mandatory/no other forms?

@abk2021 you send them through ACT or SAT online!! Whichever test you’d like to submit you just go to their site and send it. You’ll need the address to send it to and have a small fee to pay.

That’s correct. And once you submit the application, you’ll check Connect Carolina to see if you need to send anything else. It’ll be in the admission items to do list. @nduclaunc

CSS is the additional form besides FAFSA for the financial aid, you will not get the decision until April and it is due on March 1st. That being said, if you got in but didn’t apply the CSS before March 1st, you may not get the financial aid.

I haven’t submitted my CSS yet but will soon. I’m hoping to get a good finaid package if admitted as my financial situation drastically changed in the past year. For anyone who is concerned about financials, the UNC finaid staff have answered a lot of my questions thoroughly, so don’t be afraid to ask them anything.

Is the CSS / FAFSA a must?

Only asking because I didn’t qualify for any aid with it my freshman year and doubt I will qualify this year. I received outside merit based scholarships but nothing from those.

If you are going to apply financial aid for next year, you MUST apply CSS for UNC which costs you 25 dollar and it is nonrefundable if you didn’t get in April.

Who else has yet to submit? :smiley:

I haven’t submitted the CSS yet, planning to do it this week though.
