UNC Board of Visitors Conversation

Hi, I've been admitted to UNC, invited to the scholarship day and received the "nine special opportunities" e-mail. Now, UNC has sent me an e-mail about having the opportunity to talk to a member of the UNC Board of Visitors.

"... a group of University alumni and leaders who have distinguished themselves in their professions and their communities"

"We hope that you will consider your contact with your Visitor a conversation, not an interview, and that you will feel free to speak frankly about your hopes and concerns for the next four years. Our aim is to help you see clearly whether Carolina can help you grow into the person you want to become."

Has anyone else received this e-mail, and what am I supposed to expect from talking to these people? Will they be asking me questions or be sharing their personal experiences?

Several of my D friends also got the scholar day and 9 Opps letter but no one has said anything about a BoV e-mail. Did you do it? How was scholars day?

Funny thing. They responded, saying someone would call me in a few days to talk to me. Never happened!

I did too! I got a reply (finally) over the weekend and have a phone conversation set up for later this week. I’m so excited!!! I’m slightly nervous though because the nature of this talk isn’t entirely clear to me… Is it an interview? Is it to sell UNC to me? (I’m sold already  )
If there’s anyone out there that can clarify, please do! Any suggestions on how to prepare?
