I go to a college prep high school, an I am not taking any Honors or aps due to my busy athletic and ec's agenda, will that effect my acceptance rates?
How can I increase my chances? And what should I try to score on the SAT(already taking classes)
Thanks everyone, have a blessed day/night! Im becoming so anxious and sad about my gpa

Although you are anxious about your GPA, it won’t change the past. At this time it is too soon to chance you for any colleges. It is good that you are thinking about what colleges you want to go to, but it is too soon to decide on one.

The best thing you can do right now is focus on doing as well as you can. What SAT to aim for? Your best effort. Also consider the ACT. Some students do better on one than the other.

UNC is a great school, but there are others. One way to reduce the stress of worrying over UNC is to take a good look at the other choices. You know that UNC is a reach for you, so also look at colleges that would be a good match. A good match includes grades and scores, but also other factors that are important to you: cost, programs of study, location, size. You might find that some colleges are even a better fit for you than UNC.

Next spring, when you have scores, if you want suggestions from posters here, come back and post your grades, scores, what you are looking for and what schools. Don’t post anything personal that could identify you, or your essays- just enough info for others to advise.

The more schools you find that fit you, and that you will be happy to attend, the less stressful it will be. Dealing with the uncertainty will always be somewhat stressful, but having schools on your list that you like will make it easier.
