My gpa is 3.33. Yea it's low but the reason why I screwed my gpa is because of freshman year which is not counted as much as other school year. 9th-2.3 10th-4.0 11th-3.75 12(first semester)-3.75. I have improved my gpa 2.3 to 3.3 uw. Even if it's a big improvement, I'm still worrying because of my low overall gpa. My ec's are for sophomore year, I played varsity and club soccer, volunteered for vacation bible school teacher, church choir. For my junior year, I joined two clubs(were not active), volunteered for helping mentally ill kids, went to the nicaragua mission trip, and YMCA Leadership club member. I got 2000 on the sat. Do I have a possibility to get accepted in unc chapel hill with my career? (Asian instate applicant)

I have a 3.7-3.9 I think. I’m not too sure because my school doesn’t use the 4 scale. I know UNC is a pretty good school, and from what I’m told, even my credentials make it a relatively tough school to get into. Anyways, here’s some advice (cliches) that I’ve gotten: Don’t give up, work hard, study A LOT, and show drastic improvement, which you’ve done. Your SAT is good, can always do better. As and Asian (I’m one too), your credentials are poor, but again they can be improved. The fact that you are instate makes it a heck of a lot easier to get into than me. Overall, work hard and enroll in the toughest classes you can manage.

Make sure to ace those essays!!! Also make sure to include that you had an uphill battle to fix what you did freshmen year, and it is visibly successful. Colleges like seeing huge improvements like that. You are instate, which helps, but it alone won’t get you in. Like Kevinjuan said, work hard and show them that you aren’t going to get into a slump again.

sorry but youre probably not gonna get in
