I am a second semester freshman who earned a 3.418 and made Deans List. I am a member of my Universitys Honors Program and am currently involved in many campus activities. I am the team manager for the mens basketball team and worked in the Honors Program Office during the first semester.

In high school, I had a 3.5 gpa and had a 1300 on the SAT. I played soccer all four years in high school and was an officer in an anti-tobacco organization. I am an out-of-state student, what are my chances of admission to UNC?

you'll never make it to chapel hill buddy...quite frankly your stats leave a lot to be desired. your subpar 3.4 was most likely the product of 11 credits at some crappy nj community college. best of luck to you though. you need it more than most of us

Gonzo, if you use the search tool on cc, you can view the posts of transfer students who applied to UNC for 2007.
Most of the students provide stats and the decision received from UNC.

As alipes said, it would be helpful to know what school you are transferring from. I know a guy who transferred 2 years ago from Wake with a 3.4. Also, since your high school gpa is somewhat weak, you will have a better chance transferring after your soph. year as your high school record doesn't doesn't factor in as much. You being OOS doesn't matter, according to UNC's info residency isn't a factor in transfers. Good luck--sounds like you are doing great in school.

dude...I can't say u've no chance..u seem to be competitive...and maintaining a 3.48 gpa at college ain't that easy as much as it is in HS....and also the whole fact that what college u r attending matteers quite a lot.
