im applying ea too and im in state. one of my teachers has not even started her rec yet and the other one has started but yet to be finished…is the deadline for rec really november first??

It better be, for youre sake lol. I was going to submit today, but one of mine isnt in yet. Surprisingly, its the one that finished first too. She uploaded to naviance too early so it never sent haha.

apparently my school’s computer system is having problem with the commom app ,it wont even let us log on…same applies to my teachers…im so nervous right now but i did submit my app last week

Oh man, that was a pretty good answer to the super power question! I would love that super power. I put something else & its not too creative so, yeah… But I sent in my application in this weekend! Wouldn’t it be something if we were all accepted… ah.

LOL im hoping. I think the fact that we’re this consciencious about it means that well get in.

That would be wonderful!! If only…

And just to reassure everyone, recs are due Nov 1! Read this! [Deadlines | University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill | Office of Undergraduate Admissions](Get Started - Undergraduate Admissions)

anyone knows the priority filling deadline for css profile?

March 1st. We have quite some time to fill it out.

Go to the link I posted in #26, and it has this info :)

thanks so much! so we file the css profile after we know our decision?

Yeah. At least for UNC EA we find out like what? Dec 1st?

i thought it is january?

is it? idk Im just guessing…january would suck though

It’s January 31. I hate that it’s so late.

The deadline for applying hasn’t even happened yet and I’m so super nervous. I don’t think I’ll make it to January. The fact that my chances for getting in are slim makes it even worse ahhhhh

Just wanted to give a few details on alot of the questions I saw in previous posts, EVERYTHING except for the student application and fee is due “2-3 weeks from the deadline of October 15” This includes recs, scores, transcripts, school report, etc. But the thing is, its better to get it in as soon as possible because they will look at your application earlier if you have all of your things in first. Im a mom of a UNC EA applicant this cycle and he told me he saw this on the website.

Concerning the decision dates, it says “Late January” or “January 31st” in most websites for UNC’s decision date but in truth there is a high chance its earlier than that. My son knows someone from his school last year who said that they almost always give results like around mid-late January than the actual deadline. But you never know I guess.

My son is also very excited to apply to UNC!! Where else are all you guys applying to?

Alright then, a day before EA applications are due and there are 35 posts in this thread already! Good luck to all and remain clam. It is going to be a long wait until January.

UNC traditionally says it will post EA decisions no later than January 31st. No matter how many times you ask or what rumors you hear, that will be Carolina’s official answer. If you look back over the years, you will see that they usually beat that deadline, but not by much. Last year, I believe the majority of decisions were posted in ConnectCarolina on Friday 1/25, the year before, Friday 1/20. Envelopes with decisions are snail-mailed earlier in the week and you might reccieve that prior to the electronic posting.

I just wanted to set your expectations early. Like I said, it will take a while…

Is anyone elses writing supplement not uploading to the common app? Mine’s been loading for 30 minutes now.

The Common App has been having major issues. Maybe try going into a different browser and see if it will submit.

so unc admitted 5039 in state applicants from 9892 total who applied last year, whoa thats slightly more than 50% acceptance rate! I thought there would be more in state applicants but apparently not
