@LOVEUNC I actually got the same email… But I sent out all my transcripts last week and idk if they’re going to arrive on time by that deadline. I’m going to try and get in touch with them, and if you get in touch with them please let me know what happens. Thanks!
@GabekingSG I just emailed admission director assistant who I met in UNC before and try to grasp the last hope. If i heard something I will tell you for sure. Another important thing I wonder: is your date of finding missing materials mentioned in UNC email the same as mine which is Mar 5 noon or else?
And to everyone, who has received the same email please post yours too so we can work together to figure out something.
Thank you
I got the same email. My To Do List says my application fee is missing, but I paid it 10 days ago and have a confirmation of payment email from the Common App. I replied to the email as soon as I got it but no response yet.
@briebe34 thanks for sharing. can I ask is your to do list still showing fee is missing now? and did you get the email just now?
@LOVEUNC I got the email at 4:06 (central) and responded at 5:15. My To-Do list still shows the fee as missing. Maybe it just takes a while to process as I didn’t pay it until 2-24. The email says I have until March 12th to get the required materials to UNC.
@briebe34 Your situation is better than mine. Your payment was submitted before Mar 12 so it should be no problem. I don’t even know what I have missed. I feel like my empty to do list is sneering at me.
Keep refreshing and still shows no to-do’s.
@birebe34 by the way when is the date in your email stating UNC found your application misses materials. Mine is “As of Thursday, March 5 at noon, we find that your application is missing required materials.”?
@LOVEUNC my email was the same as yours and I responded as soon as I recieved it… Hoping for the best here
BTW here’s my email (received at 5:06 ET):
"Thank you for applying to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We look forward to reading your application, but we can’t do so until your application is complete.
As of Thursday, March 5 at noon, we find that your application is missing required materials. Please go to your ConnectCarolina Student Center and view the missing items on your Admissions To-Do list. If the documents were sent by U.S. mail or another method prior to March 2, 2015, then we apologize that we must ask you to send them again. If there are no items on your To-Do list, then your required items have been received.
If we have not received your missing items by March 12, 2015, the Admissions Committee may review your application on the basis of the information that is available and may, at its discretion, either deny you admission or withdraw your application from further consideration.
Official transcripts must be received through an electronic transmission service, such as the Common Application or CFNC, or through the U.S. mail; we cannot accept transcripts that are submitted by email or fax. All other items may be emailed to uncsubmit@admissions.unc.edu or faxed to (919) 843-2326. Please be sure all correspondence includes your full name and your birth date.
For the latest information on your application status, please continue to check your ConnectCarolina Student Center and the Admissions Blog.
We appreciate your interest in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. If you have any questions, please reply to this email or call us at (919) 966-3621.
Sincerely,
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill"
But what Im more nervous about is the fact that I applied as a junior but only have completed 59 credits as of currently. But I will have completed 66 credits by the end of the semester, and my transcript for this semester is being held for release until grades are posted (which is in May…) Hopefully I’ll still be considered…
@GabekingSG thanks. I am thinking to screenshot my student center to prove I have a empty to do list today so it’s not my problem that I does not submit required materials but it’s because the list is shown empty. Also I have no chance to communicate with UNC admission office which is closed by 5 pm today and during spring break through Mar 16 while I have received this email by 5:06 pm.
Feeling really upset because I have been extremely attentive to to do list long before deadline. I watched my list going from having 3 items down to 2 down to 1 down to 0 one month before deadline, and after that I told myself not to relax vigilance so I have checked my to do list and seen it is shown empty every day.
@GabekingSG man we are on the almost same boat. I won’t have enough credits to claim my sophomore status until taking this semester’s classes. I think we are fine because I have asked UNC senior director of admission assistant should I apply as freshman or sophomore. He said sophomore because they will consider your current semester’s credits and take them into calculation of your applicant status.
@LOVEUNC Mine has the same as of March 5th date. It seems strange that they say to contact them, yet they are closed for a week…
@briebe34 Totally agree let’s just wait and see.
@LOVEUNC just take a deep breath, you’ll be fine… Just email them like I did and you’ll probably hear back from someone in a few days. They’re not gonna rescind your application just because, shit like this happens all the time. I’m sure they’ll be accommodating.
@GabekingSG thanks for advice.I emailed them right after getting that email.
I feel much better now. Hopefully the email was sent to me wrongly.
@GakebingSG @briebe34 guys, I just heard back from UNC admission senior director assistant who told me admission office is open during spring break, so if you have questions just call admission this Monday.
For me, they said they missed information to classify me as either a NC resident or an out-of-state resident. But my to do list is still empty. I would just go there in person this Monday. I feel so relieved I knew and emailed UNC admission director assistant.
@LOVEUNC awesome, thanks for the heads up
also, If anyone could chance me from this thread (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-north-carolina-chapel-hill/1749384-chance-me-as-a-junior-transfer.html#latest) I’d really appreciate it
