It was a smaller top 10 school
My main concern is that I took some summer classes at UNC. I got a B and a C+. I really hope they don’t use those two classes in making a judgement. The GPA’s were not included in my associates but they will be if I transfer.
So the day for decisions is creeping closer and closer. I’m so excited for all of us. I don’t know where I will be attending but I really want this acceptance guys! Good luck, we’re in the final stretch here.
@boilerup4purdue I’m assuming it’s going to be sometime around April 15th or so, what do you think?
@NCXfer yeah the 10th at the earliest and most likely starting on the 15th. Super exciting yet scary
The closer it gets the more painful each day does. I swear if I don’t get in I’ll never pass the campus again… haha
I’m keeping my expectations as low as possible for myself, it’s the only way I can handle this lol
Slowly dying inside… It’s impossible to focus on my current classes!
I mean I’ve applied to 9 schools, with this easily being my biggest ‘reach’ so I’m not really expecting anything either way. It would be crazy to get in but i wouldn’t be too shocked or dissapointed if I didnt.
@ccmac201 I feel exactly the same. Except, I can’t even focus on life.
@GabekingSG I thought just like that but now it’s all changed. I’ve applied to just two schools
My friend who transferred to UNC last year said he received his decision on April 9th, so it may come as early as then. Fingers crossed everyone.
@wilsonalex53 : So the nervous days will begin just 1.5 weeks from now…I’m already nervous!
Hi everyone! I’m looking to transfer from East Carolina University.
Current Sophomore
Major: Computer Science
GPA: 3.58
Dean’s List every semester
Member of a coed honors fraternity
Member of Secular Student Alliance
Eagle Scout
Ongoing paid internship with a growing IT business
2 recommendations, both professors know me well, one is a UNC alumna
Strong essays, reasons for transferring include much higher national ranking of UNC’s CS program and larger, more diverse campus
High school stats aren’t great, but I made a point to mention that in my essay
Please feel free to let me know what you think my chances are! I’m ridiculously nervous as it gets closer and closer.
So eager to see decision result. Anyone knows are decisions all released on the same date?
@LOVEUNC Usually not, last years forum (2014 UNC fall transfers) had decisions throughout April. Some possibly in May. I think.
I just can’t pay attention. Very painful.
Reading back over last year’s transfer thread and dreading the next three weeks of my life… From the looks of it, decisions time at UNC is a disaster.
@wilsonalex53 : Yep, I did the same. It’s going to be very frustrating/emotional. Let’s just hope it ends well!
hi,
i applied as a sophomore transfer and am currently at a small college in SoCal. if accepted, i’m hoping to visit UNC before making any decisions. does anyone know when UNC’s commitment date is? i know some state schools want transfer students to commit within about 2 weeks of an acceptance notification, and if that’s the case i’ll have a very small time frame to book flights/ campus tours and such. any ideas?
thanks!
Can anyone give me their opinion on my chances at UNC?
