Chances?

Which school do you go to?
Your on the lower end of ACT scores (I wouldn’t send your SAT scores period), but your high GPA in high school and college could help you depending on the school you go to. To be honest, you’re really right in the middle so it will come down to your essays and ECs. Do you have any hooks? Did you apply in high school?
Also how did you get in the national honor society when your SAT score is only 1220?

@johnpfc3 Highland school of technology. My SAT was 1830 out of 2400 but according to the website I’m 50 points above the lower end of accepted SAT scores. I didn’t apply out of high school, I have some family that went there and I feel like my essays are good. I’m not sure, but I got in. It might’ve been before I took the SAT.

@BryantB02 But what school are you transferring from? Your high school seems really reputable from wiki, so I think you have above a 50/50 chance of acceptance.

Brevard College. It’s a good school but it’s no ACC school

@johnpfc3 Also, do you think being a college athlete would help my chances? Since most people apply won’t be a college athlete

@BryantB02 Again, based on a quick google search, your school seems fairly competitive to get in. And definitely being an athlete will help your chances as its a big commitment and you proved you can keep up your grades with that commitment. The more I learn about you, I think you have a great chance of getting in actually haha. Did you submit already?

@johnpfc3 Thank you, I hope you’re right haha. I’ve submitted my app but not my letters of recommendation yet. Have you?

Just submitted by app yesterday… waiting on my transcripts to be sent. FSU Sophomore Transfer applicant here, athlete with only 3.3 (and rising) GPA. Wrote some pretty bomb essays so I think they will see writing is a strong point. Would like to get into KF, so applying as junior transfer hoping to take summer classes here and get junior classification by credits so that I only have to wait a semester for KF.

All this considered, is HS and SAT a factor in admission this far into college?

Hello all. Im in the midst of submitting my app and i realized i am 2 credits shy of a junior transfer… how strict are they with the 60 credit minimum? Will my app be worthless if i am under 60?
Thanks guys and best of luck to all

@peace4allpeeps have you submitted your app? The deadline was at 11:59 eastern time. You could try and take a class over the summer or something

I also applied as a junior even though I’m below the 60 credit minimum, I was planning to get the remaining credits the summer.

@BryantB02 yes i submitted it anyway. And yes if it comes down to that i coupd easily take a summer course

@peace4allpeeps so they let you submit after the deadline? Just curious

@BryantB02 No i got it done on the deadline

any one hear back yet??? Mid-april is just around the corner

@peace4allpeeps I got an email today titled “Important Update on Your Carolina Application” which explained how to log on and view my decision, but when I logged on it still said my decision is not yet available. Did you get this email too?

Just got the same email. I think it is going to be tomorrow then?

Yes, it should be

What know the acceptance rate for out of state student?
