UNC Chapel Hill --> iBanking

It's my only option if I don't get off the wait-list at Brown, Cornell, Duke, or Wharton.

What are the chances of getting into a BB straight out of undergrad @ UNC CH?

UNC is a Public Ivy, so the answer is: good. But these days, even kids from Harvard are running around unemployed because they thought their diploma would settle the rest of their lives. There are no guarantees even if you graduate from UNC with excellent grades, good internships and plenty of EC’s, but you will certainly find yourself in a position better than 98-99 % of the overall population.

Still, contacts make it happen. And it’s better, of course, to be around the metro areas(Boston, NYU, Washington, Connecticut etc) than in the South for good offers. Unless, of course, you plan to get into the business in Raleigh(which is a bit of a banking boomtown these days).

How heavily recruited is UNC (on-campus)?

UNC sent more kids to Morgan Stanley than any other school this year.

Honestly, Wharton (and Duke to much lesser extent) is the only place on your list I would say is unequivocally better for placement and I would definitely go UNC before Brown.

MS, GS, BAML and Charlotte boutique/middle-market firms always come to campus. The lower BB + elite boutiques don’t come as often, although there are kids going to JPM, CS, UBS, DB, Moelis, Lazard that didn’t go through OCR.

^^where did you get the info about MS
