UNC Chapel Hill - Please tell me my chances!

I'm a white female in-state applicant from a UNC-feed magnet school in Raleigh, North Carolina (meaning high percentages of applicants from this school are admitted).

What I'm interested in pursuing is journalism, so I applied regular decision to UNC-CH on January 18th.

I think my chances of being admitted are slim to none, but I'd like a little bit more feedback on it before I "throw in the towel." My information is below:

THE BAD
-Unweighted GPA of 3.0 (I didn't do so hot in school until the middle of junior year, when I got my ADHD medication)
-Weighted GPA of 3.7 (my counselor has told me that this is most likely not strong enough for acceptance)
-SAT score of 1900
-Suspended in sophomore year for "non-compliance" (I explained what happened on the application, and my guidance counselor told me it would not at all be a deciding factor)

THE GOOD
-Legacy, father went there for journalism back in the day
-Founded the Harry Potter Club at my school
-Founded my school's Quidditch team, which was featured on the front page of the local newspaper, the News & Observer
-Won Homecoming Queen and Prom Princess, of which I am ONLY proud of because the student body actually selected somebody who wasn't the cookie-cutter-cheerleader-pretty-girl, and that says a lot about my high school (I included that on my app)
-Named "Most Unique" for the 2011 Senior Class Superlatives
-Wrote essays about my Quidditch team and about my car, which is completely covered in original paintings done by my friends
-Editor-in-Chief of my school's newspaper, went from staff writer to photo editor to EIC
-Has worked the same job for almost 3 years (in April)
-Works with father on a free coastal Carolina magazine/publication
-Played ice hockey for about 7 years
-Plays various musical instruments, including double bass, ukulele, guitar, drums, and mandolin
-Recommendations from my newspaper advisor (a Carolina alumnus) and from a former college professor who now works at my high school (my old APUSH teacher, has a PhD in history)
-Mother is a journalist for the N&O
-Has taken APUSH, AP English III & IV, and AP Government & Politics
-Has taken multiple honors courses (most of my classes have been honors)
-Co-re-founded a local organization dedicated to serving meals from "recycled" food to the homeless

So, what do you think? I wish schools would look past grades. I had a rocky start without my medication, but have improved greatly since junior year. I didn't include that on my app, though. I didn't want it to look like I was making an excuse.

Thank you :).
