UNC Chapel Hill Pre-med courses

What are the hardest pre-med courses at UNC Chapel Hill? I've heard stories about genetics being really tough...Also, what do most people think about organic II?
Thanks

You will probably have better luck at the UNC page.

Hey there! I’m currently taking the premed courses at UNC, so I can answer a few of your questions. Are you a current student at UNC?

I’m taking genetics next semester, so I don’t have any personal experience with it, but I’ve had several friends to take it…it seems like it is tough, but doable. It’s highly dependent on the professor though…PM me for more info (ie a more detailed answer).

As far as Orgo II, it’s pretty much the same thing. UNC has one of the best Chemistry Departments in the country; but it also has a reputation for being one of the toughest departments to take classes in, as the courses are made to be challenging and it is the 2nd most grade deflated department at UNC (math being the most). Again, feel free to PM me for more information.

My S took genetics at UNC and said he did not find it to be particularly difficult, at least no moreso than anything else.

He took Honors Orgo and loved it; said it was one of the best classes he had at UNC. He had Dr. Paul Kropp and said he was a great teacher, was quite engaging and made the class very interesting.
