Was it smart to submit test scores? Scored a 1450 but it seems like most who got in for transfer in 2021 thread did not submit test scores.

I don’t think test scores are important for transfers, but a good one like yours is worth reporting.

Most transfer students don’t submit test scores because they aren’t required. A 1450 is near the 75th percentile for freshman applicants when test scores were still required [https://oira.unc.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/297/2021/03/IPEDS_Admissions_2020-21.pdf]. However, test scores for students who were accepted for Fall 2021 were much lower since there was no requirement to send them in. You’d place above the 75th percentile for that cohort [https://oira.unc.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/297/2022/03/IPEDS_Admissions_2021-22.pdf]. I’d imagine that the test scores would be the same if not slightly worse for transfer students, so your 1450 should bode you well.

I submitted an SAT score of 1330. Hoping that doesn’t hurt me

i don’t think test scores will hurt. i wish they would just release decisions already ■■■■■

when are decisions coming

Tomorrow, Friday or Monday. We just have to be patient unfortunately. I called them and they gave me the standard answer of “you’ll know by no later than the 15th.”

That won’t hurt you at all. That’s a good score. That 1330 will set you apart from students who didn’t submit scores at all.

Can anyone make an Onyen yet? I can’t and I’m concerned about it

i cant either

How do you know if you can access it?

go to UNC onyen services, create onyen, then put in ur PID number and info

I am not sure about your score percentile, but my daughter got an email to send her scores in around March. Maybe they are important. She is applying for Sophomore .

I can’t create one, but it does let me see my PID

i believe all applicants and students have a PID but once you’re admitted then it allows you to create an ONYEN

If you chose to be test optional then they won’t ask you to submit the score

do we think tomorrow or friday for decisions
