UNC Chapel Hill Transfer Thread

and "how hard" exaclty is it..

Has anyone heard from Chapel Hill, yet?

there are stats out there and im too lazy but i remember its like 30% for sophomores, a little less than 50% (like 47% maybe) for juniors

I said this on the UNC board, but I'm pretty sure we'll be notified tomorrow.

On the tenth? That seems pretty early.

11 days early. They were 9 days early last year I believe.

you guys are setting yourselves up for disappointment lol

In terms of what? Expecting a decision today? I'll check today, but I was expecting a later notification anyway.

how is what i just said even questionable? you should never expect something to come early and there are always going to be rumors. maybe not you, but atleast 3 other people have said they would be devastated if it wasnt announced today

Geez, I was just asking in what sense were did you mean setting up for disappointment. I mean disappointment can come in many different forms. That's why I was asking. I was just merely posing a question.

why are you being so passive-aggressive defrasne? Absolutely no one said they would be devastated, annoyed or irritated, maybe, but no one even mentioned devastation.

I for one would be surprised if they released today, I'm hoping they will, but I find it unlikely. I'm not going around with a holier-than-thou attitude talking down to people though am I?

Well my decision came out today on my UNC homepage. I got accepted to Carolina!

I posted this on the UNC forum but my decision was apparently postponed; no word as to why yet...

Accepted as well :)

Hey guys,

I won't really know anybody when I transfer to UNC so I figured I thought I'd start a facebook group. Here's the link if you are interested in joining!

UNC 2008 Transfer Students Group

accepted :)

congrats just breathe

Me too! :) So excited!

So yeah, I'm not going to UNC regardless of what the admissions lady says about transfer credit in regardless of whether I can get into KF. The bottom line for me is that I think that UMich will be a better fit for me. Good luck to you all at UNC. It's a great school, and I'm going to miss the idea of going to school in that weather. However, I think I've made the right choice for me.
