Hi! I’m trying to decide between UNC and Davidson. I got invited into UNC Chapel Hill’s Honors College as an out of state student and did not get invited to a specific Davidson program. I got about 56k out of 64k at Davidson and after scholarships and grants at UNC, my net cost is about 20k. Thoughts? Positives and Negatives of each school? Stereotypes of the students? Is one school more accepting of racial minorities (I’m Black)?

Are small, interactive classes the way you like to learn?
What career/major are you thinking of?

@Krob2016 There is no special honors program to be invited to at Davidson - the whole college is basically an honors program - small classes, research opportunities with professors, etc. You got an amazing financial aid package. Paying only $8,000 per year vs. $20,000 per year at UNC seems to make this an easier choice. Have you been able to visit either school?
^ that’s very accurate - Davidson is basically an entire honors college.
And I agree that attending the top LAC in the South for 8k is an amazing deal.
