UNC Chapel Hill vs. Michigan

Hi guys! I’m a senior from Maryland, and I’ve narrowed my top two choices to UNC or UMich. I’ve visited both, but I went to Michigan’s admitted students day, which was super comprehensive, and I visited UNC for a tour about a year ago. I doubt I’ll be able to visit again with Corona. I really liked the vibe at Michigan, with many out of state students and a lot of support for women in STEM, since I’m thinking of comp sci. The only downside really is the cold. At the same time, both my parents went to UNC, so I’ve always loved the school and seen it as kinda a holy grail. It also does have nicer weather. I’m trying to decide, and I’d love to hear other people’s insight!

Is your cost of attendance roughly the same? And apart from the positive bias you’ll have as a double legacy, did you personally like UNC and its CS program?
