I've heard the prestige and being the "dream school" of NYU for many juniors and seniors...

On the other hand, UNC's been ranked in the first top five state-universities as well as top 20 U.S universities..

Numerous programs being offered in the UNC are also ranked in the first top five...

In term of prestige and overall performance of the two great universities, which one do you think is better?

NYU baby (cause I'm going there)! But UNC isn't too sabby. Depends on what you want from college. Both university are comparable but yet, they are so different.

Overall performance of the universities? NYU. But that's taking grad/prof schools into account.

For solely undergraduate, I'd say they're about even, though NYU is DEFINITELY not worth it if you can get UNC in-state.

As an international student wishing to study in the U.S, what do u suggest??

thx..

NYU is more prestigious in many areas other than north carolina. i would go there if you dont mind not having any kind of campus.

UNC Chapel Hill is a bargain, even OOS. Unless you HAVE to have a major city, I see very little point in choosing NYU.

UNC's programs are every bit as good as NYU's, with the exception of business. This isn't just my bias- rankings support this.
