Can someone please tell me what my chances are for getting into UNC Chapel Hill undergrad? I have applied Early Action this year and I am still waiting on the results. Rank: 1 out of 442 students
SAT superscored: 2190 (I have not received my scores for the latest exam, but I think my score will increase)
SAT unsuperscored: 2130
Math Level 2 Subject Test: 780
Extracurriculars:
-violinist
-National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National Hispanic Honor Society
-founded a community service club
-president of 2 clubs at my school
-school trivia team
-school math team
Honors:
-National AP Scholar
-AP Scholar with Distinction
-National Merit Semifinalist
I am not the highest authority but I think you have excellent chances to get in. UNC is highly selective for people out of state, but your stats are amazing
@Amphicoelias Thank you so much! My SAT I score increased to 2260 and I got a 720 on the SAT II Biology E test. Do you think this will increase my chances by a lot?
Your chances are 50/50 like every other OOS high stat student. It’s a mystery what they look for. My daughter was rejected two years ago with higher stats and great EC’s. It will all be ok one way or another.
I definitely think you have a decent chance of getting in. Your SAT I score increase will definitely give you a boost. The middle 50% SAT scores for class of 2019 were between 1810 and 2130. Your UW GPA and W GPA both are impressive as well. Even though you’re OOS I think you’re a very competitive applicant.
I think you have a great chance. I know that you are OOS but your stats are excellent and I think you will really stand out. I’m applying too (in-state) and the wait is killing me! Good luck, I think you will be fine
@student9988 I know!!! The wait is killing me too! I keep checking my UNC portal hoping that maybe they moved up the decision date, even though I know that that will never happen.
