yes - an email was sent promptly.
Finally my DD received her acceptance last night! She’s very excited!
Congrats!
DS has not received anything yet. I assume your daughter got it via regular mail or an email to check portal?
She received an e-mail to check her portal for her decision. She received about 9 p.m. last night.
DS23 finally got his acceptance last Friday via email. The email says a letter will arrive with more information and to apply for scholarships. No mention of honors college. Said to apply for scholarships via the portal.
He seemed pretty pleased with the outcome.
congrats to your DS…is this a contender for him? My daughter is ready to push the button to accept admission
He is poker-faced about it. I think definitely in the running.
tough decisions…my daughter was accepted to UNCC, UNCG, App State and Queens University. All great choices, UNCG was a safety that she’s not interested in because its only 30 min from home.
That’s great. My son is the other way around. He wants to go to NCSU because it is close to home and he wants to commute.
For those who have applied to the UNCC Honors College by the 12/1 deadline, have you seen the NinerScholars portal updated recently to say that you are under review for Johnson and Freeman Scholarships? My DD’s portal says this now so wondering if it means anything in the process since it says we won’t hear a decision until Feb. Thanks.
My daughter applied before Nov 1st and has not heard anything - anybody else?
My son has also not heard. Their decision date for EA is January 30th. I know some have heard earlier, but we’re not concerned and know he’ll get a decision by the end of the month
Thanks! All her friends heard quite a while ago so she is getting worried
We have not heard either. My oldest son applied for Fall 2020 and he was accepted by early December so we have been concerned to have heard absolutely nothing.
Let us know when you hear anything!
Congratulations!!
UNCC offered my son a $2000 scholarship. No news on honors college. Interestingly, the scholarship is a 1 time deal – likely to entice students to enroll. Still, something is better than nothing.
Curious, were all the accepted respondents in-state? My S23 applied 10/15 OOS and hasnt heard anything
My in state son applied end of October and also has not heard back yet
My daughter hasn’t heard yet either-in state
