UNC Charlotte for Computer Science?

Hello,
I’m currently a junior in high school and I’m taking AP Computer Science this semester. I have a keen interest in programming and understanding how computers work, and I would like to work as a software engineer or a similar position after college.
I was wondering if anyone had information about the value of a computer science degree from UNC Charlotte. I found that between this school and my other top schools (UNCW and UNC-CH), the curriculum here seems to incorporate the most relevant major courses. I was thinking of going for a BS in Computer Science with a concentration in Software Engineering (I’ll include a link to the semester-by-semester study plan) as it is what interests me most. I also am interested in the 5 year BS/MS degree program, and would definitely like to pursue that once I have been in school long enough.
My biggest question is, how valuable will a Master’s from this school be? Would it be hard to find a job in the Charlotte area after graduation?
My final question is, are there a decent amount of internship opportunities for CS students?

Thanks in advance.

What does “most relevant major courses” mean?

What I meant is that there seems to be more variety of classes involving the major (Operating Systems, Data Structures, Logic and Algorithms, Web App Development, Software Engineering, Database Design, Software Testing and Assurance, Software Architecture, Penetration Testing, and many other electives in CS). This may not necessarily be true but the choice of classes here seems the most interesting to me.

Their CS school and majors seem very well thought out. About 75 of the 120 credits are major - related. Lots of choices.
What’s the area around the school like?
Charlotte is supposed to be dynamic and the business school is certainly well-connected but the area around the school usedbto be sketchy. What’s it like now?

I am a first year CS major at Charlotte. The campus is beautiful and the surrounding area around the school is very up and coming. There are many great stores and restaurants nearby. The area around the school is under construction with light rail service that is coming up and will have a stop at the north part of campus. This will open next year to connect campus to uptown charlotte. The area may have been sketchy at one time, but it no longer is.
