UNC Charlotte vs. NC State??

I'm having a hard time deciding whether to go to UNC Charlotte or NC State.

Most of my friends are attending UNC Charlotte and it would be a blast to attend a University with my friends.

The reason I was going to apply to NC State was because it was the closest University near my house, which is convenient.

Can anyone give me slight info of both campuses and the pros and cons of both schools, just to make my decision easier.

Thank You.

What field of study?

Would you be living on campus at either?
Can you give us (tuition+ R&B) - (grants+scholarships) = ?
What’s your parents’ budget?
Do you want to stay near home or go to another city?
Living on campus is likely to make Raleigh “feel” totally different though but it’s still the same city you know. On the other hand, NCSU is hard to beat for some majors in the UNC system.

Yes, I will be living on campus at either University.
For NC State, the tuition is roughly $20,000 per year including room and board. The only thing i know about grants is that for NC State, it covers most of the cost for attending NC State.

For UNC Charlotte, all I remember is that it depends on the credit hours you take. There wasn’t a set price.

I don’t really put myself into my Parents’ salary as much, so for that question, I don’t know.

I would prefer going to a school in my area, only because I am familiar with the surroundings
But, I also want to experience a different place setting and UNC Charlotte offers that.

Are you a junior or a senior?
If a senior, did you deposit at one/get off the waitlist at the other?
We need actual numbers to provide you with a good cost/benefit analysis:

NCSU is a much better school, but I suppose you know that.

I’m a transfer from a community college, i haven’t sent any applications or done anything yet, only because I’m not applying to State until after next fall semester.

And I’m taking a summer class which will give me enough credits to transfer to UNC Charlotte for next fall semester.

I was just trying to get a look at other people’s perspectives for both schools.

Whether i should transfer to UNC Charlotte for next fall or transfer to NC State for next spring based off of campus life and its surroundings? <----- That question is basically a summation of my first post on this thread.

These schools are pretty comparable for non-science based programs. Go with whichever is cheapest.

haven’t deadlines for Fall passed already?

@MYOS1634‌
That was the thing, if I decided to go to UNC Charlotte, would they even look over my application because my summer class ends in July

If you don’t have your transcript in by July 1, you can’t be admitted for Fall at UNCC.
