@betatech nevermind, you are INSANELY qualified and talented, your level of activity outside of school is far beyond anything I’ve ever seen, you totally deserve that merit scholarship!! I’d be lucky to even get into Honors Carolina!
I think the confusion about letter notification stems from the UNC practice of sending out early letters only to OOS Scholarship Day folks. The thought is probably that the OOS students need extra time (1 or 2 days??-go figure) to make travel plans for Feb. 20. Other people have to wait to hear online. Anyhow, congrats!
i have a bad feeling they’re not coming out today and i don’t know if i can wait another day :(( anyone have any info on if it’ll be today or tomorrow?

@Hi1997 - You’re more optimistic than I am. I’m thinking Friday, since I seem to have heard that along the way quite a bit. I hope I’m wrong.
No one go on Connect Carolina so UNC has optimal efficiency.

It’s a catch 22 of sorts…we can’t check Connect Carolina if we want our decisions, but we can’t know if our decision is available without checking it. With that being said, I know y’all are anxious, but control yourselves so we all don’t suffer any longer please!

@mademade That describes the last four months of my life perfectly.
I just spoke with the son of a high-ranking UNC admissions officer on my way to seventh period. He (son) says that no one really knows when decisions will come out, not even his dad. Apparently they were supposed to come out last night, but UNC has been having lots of problems with applications this year. Hopefully the decisions will be released tonight, but I wouldn’t count on it.

UNC posted this on twitter earlier in the day: “EA applicants, have you created a Guest ID yet? You’ll need it to log into ConnectCarolina when decisions are ready. https://itsapps.unc.edu/account/register/guestid …” So maybe the hope is still alive.
