Decent amount of EC’s but nothing crazy. I know since I’m out of state I have no chance, but my dad went there and my brother and sister are both currently enrolled. can someone honestly give me an opinion? my school has never let in more than one person per year, and there’s some pretty smart kids applying
@uguysrhype what state are you from?
@uguysrhype …it could happen. Lotsa legacy there!
ugh I’m so nervous and it seems like every day it gets worse! is it safe to assume the release date is most likely the last Friday in January? the decisions come out during the school day where I live, so I’m hoping to get an idea of when to stay home!
@carolinagirl922 the 29th is probably a safe bet. If you follow UNC admissions on Twitter, I think they Tweeted out the day before last year with time information so I would check that out for sure
Do you guys know how much financial aid UNC gives to oos students? My family’s income bracket is around 130k. Also do they give out merit scholarships besides elite programs such as the Robertson?
Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could chance me for an out of state (FL) Early Action candidate, as I know this process is very selective.

If you’re OOS, post where you’re from! I think it’ll be interesting to see the geographic diversity of UNC applicants. Cleveland, OH checking in.
Hey everyone! I was in the same spot as you all last year, as I waited to find out whether I was accepted or rejected. Thankfully, I was fortunate enough to be accepted into this wonderful school. If anyone has questions about UNC, feel free to ask, and I’ll do my best to give answers. Good luck to you all!
@sam21avery Can you please post your stats and major?
@sreya124 Let me start off by saying that I’m in-state. I don’t remember the specifics of my ACT and SAT scores, but I made a 28 and 1860 respectively. I had a 4.4 weighted GPA, and I believe my unweighted was 3.8ish. As for my extracurriculars: club volleyball, high school volleyball, Beta Club, Yearbook, and I did a college program my senior year. I am a first-generation student. I am double majoring in History and Political Science.
