Waitlisted OOS, 3.81 UW, 32 ACT
@chancethisanon yes but the extra $25,000 they pay in tuition over in-state students does
Wait listed in state. 33 Act, 3.4 UW 4.3 W.
D Rejected. OOS SATS>2300.
Accepted to Biomed/Health Engineering. OOS (NJ), 1950 SAT (560M/710WR/680R), lit essays, 11/10 extracurriculars, URM. I posted earlier about predicting my ironic acceptance since my dream school is Duke and I got wait listed…well the irony is setting in…
@berniesanders2016 Good luck to you! Honestly I’m a little bummed about UNC since I believed I was qualified for this school, but not overly disappointed since it wasn’t my first choice anyway. Emory is a waay different story.
@a20171 No doubt! The public institution’s purpose still remains to service the people of the state.
ACCEPTED after an EA deferral
3.8UW/4.4W | 27 ACT
I have a hard decision to make before May 1st
Congratulations to all! UNC-Chapel Hill is a wonderful school. For those waitlisted/rejected- no worries! There are many options available and the choices will be amazing! For those OOS, lesson learned.
Accepted! OOS 33 ACT, 3.98UW
Congrats to all those that got in and sympathies to those that did not. Good things are still out there for all of you.
@berniesanders2016 The actual stats from last year showing the comparison of instate vs OOS are pasted below from the UNC website:
Class of 2019
31,953 applied
9,510 admitted (30% of all students applying; 52% of NC applicants; 19% of out-of-state applicants)
4,076 enrolled (43% of all students admitted; 60% of NC admits; 21% of out-of-state admits)
So yes, in state has a significant advantage.
Accepted? WHAT THE HECK???!? I was 100% ready for a rejection since I’m OOS.
@blrryfc111 Stats?
OOS, waitlisted. 32 ACT/4.5 W/3.92 UW
Waitlisted OOS (NJ)…decent stats, but same result as UVa
Whoa I got rejected lol
OOS
oh well UCLA it is
@chancethisanon 35 ACT, 4.6 W, 3.9 UW
OMG same for me.
Duke was my dream school. Before the UNC acceptance, i was such a hardcore Duke fan.
3.8 UW, 4.6 W, 27 ACT so not that impressive. I think that the hook for me is the first gen, low-income student thing. I’m so so happy right now - ready for the future.
