I couldn’t find a thread for UNC 2021 Regular Decision so I decided to start one! Best of luck to everyone!!
My D applied RD, it’s a long shot but after seeing the stats of some of those who got in ED, I think she has at least a teeny tiny chance. Maybe. It’s exciting anyway, lol! Best of luck to everyone!
I really hope this thread starts to become more popular, the early action one was great.
^it seems like the UNC rd thread is always a little duller than the EA one in the past…people just feeling jaded about the college admissions process maybe?? But yeah, IS deferred student here waiting for the end of March to come Anyone else in the same boat as me?
@trynaeducate i got deferred IS too !
So glad there’s another!!! @compsci33 I mean I assume we would’ve both preferred to get in on the first round, but second times the charm maybe??!
@trynaeducate That’s what I’m hoping! Does anyone know how many people IS typically are admitted rd after being deferred? Also, does anyone know the typical number of IS who are deferred? I saw the number for total people who get accepted after being deferred, but I assume that also includes OS too.
@compsci33 and @trynaeducate I was deferred too! I’m not exactly sure of the numbers though… What are y’alls stats? I’m IS as well
@admin1999 1380 SAT, 4.6 W, 3.65 UW
I was also deffered, 1330, 3.66, 4.5
@amln1999 2100, 30 ACT, 3.7/4.0 GPA. You??
I got all A’s last semester so in a way I am hopeful, but still march cannot come fast enough.
Thanks for starting this thread. Deferred IS student here and so nervous for final decisions! Does anyone know what the exact date will be?
Does UNC offer financial aid to IS?
UNC does offer FA to IS with demonstrated need.
As far as I know, fafsa and the css are eligible to use at any university in or out of state.
@trynaeducate @CompSci33 29 ACT, 3.75 UW, 4.33 W-- sounds pretty similar. I got All As as well in 4 AP classes and 4 Honors last quarter so those are the mid year grades I’ll submit.
What schools are the rest of you IS people looking at? And out of state people too if you want to share–just particularly curious about IS because that’s what I am
I applied to Appalachian State, Queens University of Charlette, and UNCW.
Nice! My brother went to App State and LOVED it, plus a few of my friends go there now and really enjoy it. Boone’s a cool spot
